Fat women are often cast as victims of bad genes or bad luck, whose greatest ambition is to lose fifty pounds and thereby solve all of their problems. They are rarely seen as happy, beautiful, dynamic, determined, or successful by others in the body they're currently in. Tasked with getting those women to feel empowered, I reimagined the quintessential “Before & After” dream pic, to be a “Before & Beyond” reality.
